In the afternoon
City tour of Santiago de Chile.
You begin your tour by heading through the downtown area, passing the Club
Hípico, a beautiful horseracing track in the older residential area of the city.
Afterwards, make a stop to visit the Pre-Columbian Art Museum, one of the
most complete collections of ceramics, ancient textiles and relics of American
culture. The tour proceeds alongside the Parque O’Higgins and the Cousiño Palace,
built between 1870 and 1878 for the wealthy Cousiño family.
See the Plaza de Armas, Santiago’s main place surrounded by beautiful colonial buildings. From here you head along the famous Alameda, Santiago’s colorful main avenue, crossing the Mapocho River and the bohemian Bellavista district on the way to the San Cristóbal Hill. Reaching the summit, you will have the finest views of Santiago and the Andes Mountains.
You finally see the city’s new districts Vitacura, Las Condes and Providencia.

Today you will participate in a
full-day trip to the cities of Valparaiso and Viña del Mar. After crossing
picturesque Chilean countryside over paved all-weather roads, you’ll reach
Valparaiso, the country’s main port built on 42 hills. Both the old and modern
districts will be visited including Victory Square, dock and wharf area and
Naval Academy. Overlooking the city, you will see the old funicular tracks of 16
of them clatter up the hills since the middle of the 18th century linking the
hillside homes with the flat commercial district near the sea. Then tour
proceeds to Viña del Mar often called the “Garden City” for its many parks and
well-kept private gardens. You will visit this unmatched summer resort with its
famous gambling Casino and the beaches of Salinas, Reñaca, Montemar, Los Lilenes
and Concón spread along a coastal road of impressive beauty.

Today you are going to cross the
majestic Andes and the border to Argentina. After breakfast, you will be
picked up at the hotel and transferred to the bus terminal in Santiago downtown.
Board the comfortable public bus to Mendoza. Enjoy an impressive drive offering

Passing the city of Los Andes,
your bus continues upwards on “Ruta 60” along the hillside of the Andean
Mountains, offering you panoramic views on the way. You drive past Portillo,
Chile’s most important center of winter sports. It is located at the foot of the
Aconcagua, the highest mountain of South America. You are going to leave Chile
crossing the Argentinean Border through a tunnel which was built in 1980. Now,
the road starts to lead downhill. You see the “Puente del Inca” (“Inca Bridge”),
a strange rock formation resembling a bridge crossing the Mendoza River. Your
bus passes Los Penintentes, Argentina’s best-known ski resort, before reaching
Mendoza, your final destination for today.
You will visit the city sharing the culture and history of its foundation by the Spanish colonizers four centuries ago. It includes a visit to the Independence Plaza, the main avenues and the Civic Center, The Founding area, The Aquarium (as optional), the General Martin Park and the Hill of Glory, a popular spot for a panoramic view.
As an optional tour you will be able to visit the most important wineries around the city including wine tasting.

After breakfast you will visit the most important sites during a city tour. You will drive to the Plaza de Mayo, with the Casa Rosada, the pink house, seat of the government, the Cabildo (town hall) and the Metropolitan Cathedral, home of the Archbishop of Buenos Aires. The tour goes onto the district San Telmo. Until 1888 this part of the city was a river port, today San Telmo is one of the most modern and desired places to live in Buenos Aires. The worker district La Boca is famous for its colourful tin-houses and its history as living district of Italian seamen and dock workers in the 19th century. The Barrio Norte called Recoleta is the quarter of the rich of Buenos Aires. On the cemetery of Recoleta one will find the grave of Eva Duarte who became famous as Evita Perón. Continue along the widest avenue in the world, the Avenida 9 de Julio, and continue to the Plaza Lavalle with the Federal Court of Justice and the Teatro Colón, to Palermo with its parks and gardens and back to the hotel.

Optional visit to the San Telmo market in the afternoon, right after the city tour.
San Telmo is no doubt the best kept historical neighborhood and eldest district of Buenos Aires. Here one has time to stroll around Plaza Dorrego, where each Sunday an antique market takes place. Tango couples are dancing on the street. Cafes invite to sit on their terrace and to relax by enjoying this nice scenery. Another attraction are the numerous antique shops, where one might find the right souvenir to take back home.

typical argentine Estancia inclusive lunch.
Excursion is subject to
reconfirmation and can only be guaranteed depending on the number of

After a 2 hours drive to Los
Cardales guests will reach the Estancia Santa Susana, where they will be
welcomed by Gauchos with a drink. There is time to visit the Estancia and the
daily life of the Gauchs will be explained. Then follows a rustic Barbecue
(Asado) lunch with lots of fine meat and sausages. After this the guests will
visit a folkloric and Gaucho show. The Gaucho is one of the best known cultural
symbols of Argentina. This rough, strong cowboy of the Pampa is seen as the
perfect incorporation of the national character. During the Fiesta Gaucha guests
will experience these men's agility with their horses on the Estancia.

Transfer to the domestic airport
for the flight to Iguassu. In Iguassu transfer to the Hotel and Check in.
Then follows a walking tour to
the Argentinean side of the falls. While on the Brazilian side of the falls one
can enjoy a better panoramic view, the Argentinean side offers paths leading
very closely to the different waterfalls.
The first stop is at the Visitor’s Centre and proceeding from there to the Inferior Circuit, the down-river falls, and then to the Superior Circuit, the up-river cascades. Taking the Ecological Jungle Train that leads visitors to and from the most impressive observation point of the falls – The Devil's Throat. Return to the hotel.

In the afternoon visit of the Brazilian side of the falls. Walking along the paths following cascades and then along the catwalk that leads very close to the bottom of the Devil’s Throat to enjoy magnificent views. Take an elevator to go up to the road in order to board the coach which will take you to the airport on the Brazilian Side of the falls for the flight to Rio de Janeiro.
Arrival in Rio and transfer to
the hotel, Check In and time for a first stroll along Copacabana Beach.

This morning group will go on a
half day beaches tour including Corcovado.
Leaving the hotel and proceeding
as far as Cosme Velho Station to board a cog-train for the ride through Tijuca
Forest up to Corcovado Mountain.
The train ride takes 20 minutes
and is a wonderful opportunity for a closer look at the forest’s lush tropical
vegetation and to enjoy scenic landscapes of the beaches and city. Disembarking
at the top of Corcovado and then proceeding up the steps that lead to the top
lookout where the towering statue of Christ the Redeemer stands. After
appreciating the breathtaking view unfolding below, passengers will descend by
train and continue passing by some of Rio’s beaches.
Optional half day visit of
Sugarloaf in the afternoon.
Mount the famous sugar loaf
mountain (440 m above sea level) in a cable car. From here one has a spectacular
view to the Corcovado with the Christ Statue, to Guanabara Bay and Niteroi
bridge. If you are lucky, experience a breathtaking sunset on the top, while the
city of Rio is on your feet - an unforgettable experience.

Petropolis.
Going on a scenic drive up Serra
dos Orgaos Range across the Atlantic Forest's lush vegetation, through mountains
and valleys as far as 850-meters-high Petropolis. Visiting there the Summer
Palace and the Cathedral, and touring along that charming city's highlights,
such as the Crystal Palace, Santos Dumont's House, old mansions and charming
squares.

Going southbound along the Green
Coast as far the quaint fishing village of Itacuruca. Boarding there a fully
equipped two-masted schooner for a leisurely cruise on the placid green waters
of Sepetiba Bay, studded with tropical islands. Stopping at one of the islands
for a refreshing dip and then proceeding to an Island for a lavish
tropical-style buffet-lunch with free time for swimming and relaxing on the
beaches. Beverages are not included.
In the evening Optional Rio by
night - Show.
Including one of the two best
known folklore and Carnival shows in Rio, at client's choice, both shows
featuring skilled dancers, entertainers, "samba" bands and wonderful costumes,
in a wonderful display of Brazilian folklore and Carnival.
