Day 1
Buenos Aires
Meeting services upon your arrival to Buenos Aires and transfer
to your Hotel.
Day 2
Buenos Aires - Bariloche
Breakfast. At the appointed time transfer to the airport. Arrival in Bariloche and transfer to your hotel. Overnight.
Day 3
Bariloche
Breakfast at Hotel. Small Circuit tour: Our half-day tour starts with a visit to Playa Bonita, from where we can see Huemul Island. We will continue to the foot of Campanario Hill where an optional chair lift to the top of the hill is available. We then continue onto the peninsula of Llao Llao where we will see the San Eduardo chapel. Later on we will cross the bridge to La Angostura which links lakes Moreno, Nahuel and Lopez Bay and arrive at Punto Panoramico, a natural balcony offering excellent views of the lake and the peninsula. We will drive back along the shores of El Trebol Lagoon. Free evening.
Day 4
El Calafate
After breakfast transfer to the Bariloche Airport. Flight to El Calafate a region of extreme natural beauty famed for pristine glaciers and alpine lakes in the high Andes. Upon arrival to El Calafate transfer to your hotel.
Day 5
El Calafate (Perito Moreno Glacier)
After breakfast, we depart to Glacier National Park to
experience a significant relic left by the Ice Age. Only 30km
from the entrance to Los Glaciares National Park, the
footbridge area of the Perito Moreno Glacier is an excellent
site to behold the beauty and splendor of its ice blocks, inside
Los Glaciares National Park. Bordering the Brazo Rico of
Lake Argentino and through the forest of lengas, ciruelillos,
calafates and larches that fill our path, along 30km from the
entrance to the protected area to the footbridge sector.
The Perito Moreno is the only glacier that maintains its
balance; that is to say, all the ice mass it receives from its
source in the winter is gradually lost in its front during the summer.Almost at handreach,
opens up a strange set of dimensions and perceptions for the senses. At times gentle, quiet,
freezing, both in time and atmosphere. Once in a while, some murmur, a roar growing from
the depths… and suddenly, the solid 70-meter wall
succumbs to pressure; it comes away and falls, collapsing clamorously. And one stays there,
leaning on the railing, astonished, waiting for a new calving instance.
As the locals from El Calafate proudly announce, the Perito Moreno glacier has come to be
considered as the eighth wonder of the world.
Day 6
El Calafate - Ushuaia
After breakfast, transfer to El Calafate airport and flight to Ushuaia. Arriving to Ushuaia and transfer to your hotel choice. Balance of day free to relax and get familiar with your surrounding.
Day 7
Tierra del Fuego National Park
Breakfast at Hotel. This park, unlike other Andean-Patagonian forests, possesses
forests close to the sea coast. It is crossed by paralell mountain
ranges in a north west to south east direction dividing the park in valleys of difficult access. The central part of lake Fagnano
that drains into the Pacific ocean is specially protected in the
park. In the south of the park is lake Roca, and in front of it
mounts Cóndor and Guanaco. Lake Roca drains to the short
and turbulent Lapataia river that flows into the sea through
Lapataia bay (formed for the 6 km of sea coast over the
Beagle Channel) The park has numerous traces of Yamana
inhabitants prior to the arrival of European people to America.
There are several parts in the park where you can find
hummocks of piles of mussel-shells and bones accumulated
together with utensiles.
Day 8
Ushuaia - Buenos Aires
After breakfast, transfer to Ushuaia airport and flight to
Buenos Aires. Arriving to Buenos Aires and transfer to your
hotel choice. Balance of day free to relax and get familiar with
your surrounding.
Day 9
Buenos Aires
Breakfast at Hotel. Buenos Aires City Tour: Built in the 19th Century, an era of plenty for the wealthy gaucho land barons of Argentina, Buenos Aires is a city of
contrasts offering a blend of old world charm and modern
conveniences that rival the architecture and sophistication
of Paris.
This afternoon city tour takes us along the 9th of July
Avenue, the widest in the world, passing the Plaza de Mayo
where we view the "Casa Rosada" (Pink House). Our tour
of the city with a stop at the San Telmo, home to the
famous San Telmo Antique Market, a favorite pastime of
the Portenos, as the residents of the city are called, and
tourists alike (the antique flea market takes place only on
Sundays). In a departure from the sophistication that is
Buenos Aires, here you’ll experience the bohemian side of the city with its mimes,
impersonators, musicians and the ubiquitous tango dancers offering free lessons to the least
inhibited passersby.
We visit the famous Café Tortoni, the oldest Café house in Argentina and home to the
literature and intellectual capital of Buenos Aires since 1858. Continuing on to the chic
quarter of Recoleta with sidewalk cafes. Nearby is its famous cemetery, a necropolis of
elaborate mausoleums.
Return to hotel. Free afternoon.
Day 10
Buenos Aires
Breakfast in Hotel Free at leisure.
Day 11
Buenos Aires
After breakfast, transfer to Ezeiza airport.
