Departure to the Arenal Volcano s one of the most active volcanoes in the Americas. On route we will visit the town
of Sarchí, well known for the beauty of the handcrafts that they produce. Then continue to La Fortuna de San Carlos
where the volcano is located. You will feel the ground tremble and see the night sky explode with ash and lava in a
natural display of fireworks. We will visit the hot springs of the volcano, where you can relax in the soothing waters
and be caressed by the cool night air while observing the stars and the incredible night sky above the volcano. Dinner
at the Spa, after this transfer to your hotel.
Day 2
Caño Negro Wildlife Refuge (Half Board)
Breakfast and departure to the Caño Negro Wildlife Refuge, this one is considered one of the most rich sites in the
continent for the observation of birds. Beside a great abundance of birds, Caño Negro is also refuge to many other animals like sloth bears, three types of
monkeys, caimans, lizards, bats, and a variety of native flora of the wet land. Our tour to this beautiful region begin from La Fortuna, driving for about an
hour and a half to Los Chiles, which is a rustic town that is to only five kilometers from the border of Nicaragua, it is here where we board the boat down to
Río Frío for about three hours. From the beginning of the trip, our professional guide will explain each one of the plantations that we will see on the way,
as well as the flora and fauna of the region. This tour includes lunch.
Breakfast. Departure by car and then by boat to Monteverde crossing the Arenal Lake. Arrive at the hotel at lunch time. Afternoon free!!
Day 4
Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve (Half Board)
Breakfast, This morning you will be delighted with an extraordinary excursion to the famous Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve, where more than 100 species
of mammals, 400 species of birds and 1500 species of plants have been observed. After middle day your guide will bring you back to your hotel for
lunch. Overnight at Monteverde.
Day 5
Monteverde / San Jose (Breakfast)
Breakfast and transfer back to San Jose and check in at your hotel
