ARRIVAL IN BARCELONA |

| Arrival in Barcelona and time at leisure. Dinner and accommodation on the coast.

| Breakfast. Our discovering journey starts in Barcelona, the Mediterranean
metropolis par excellence and capital of Catalonia. Enjoy a half day sightseeing tour
to get to know the most remarkable monuments and places of interest:
Gothic Quarter with the Cathedral, Las Ramblas, site of Olympic Games in
Barcelona in 1992 and master pieces of Modernism Style - works of Antoni Gaudí
“Sagrada Familia” and the Park of Güell, classified World Heritage Site. Afternoon
at leisure. Dinner and accommodation.

Day 3 |
|
BARCELONA – ZARAGOZA - MADRID |
|

|
Breakfast. We travel towards the Spanish capital Madrid located in the
geographical heart of the peninsula. Our first stop will be in Zaragoza, capital of
Aragon, to admire the famous Basilica “Nuestra Señora del Pilar”. Arrival in Madrid, dinner and accommodation.

Day 4 |

MADRID – EL ESCORIAL |
|

| Breakfast. Our day begins with a morning sightseeing tour in Madrid to discover its
principal monuments and places of interest. In the afternoon you will be surprised by
the monumentality of the Monastery of St. Lorenzo, “El Escorial”, one of the most
significant monuments of Spanish history, situated 50 km from Madrid. Dinner and
accommodation in Madrid.

Day 5 |
|
MADRID – SEGOVIA – AVILA – SALAMANCA |
|
| Breakfast. We head for Segovia, a beautiful city and one of the richest cities in Spain for monuments, as
well as historical and cultural traditions. Segovia, because of the profile of the Alcázar castle and the Cathedral
perched on the rocs, has been given the nickname “Stone Ship”. During our sightseeing tour we visit the
most remarkable places of interest. Alcázar Castle from XI century and the Gothic Cathedral from XVI
century are together with the splendour Roman Aqueduct, which is the largest and the best preserved from the
Romanic Empire, the most visited places. The next stop will be in Avila, called “land of stones and saints”
having become a special importance in XI century to protect the Spanish territory against the Arabian. Its
impressive medieval walls surrounding the old quarter are world known symbol of the city. We will enjoy a
sightseeing tour of Avila including the Gothic Cathedral, fortress-church with 82 towers and 9 monumental gates. We finish our today’s journey in Salamanca. Dinner and accommodation.

Day 6 |
|
SALAMANCA – CÁCERES |
|

| Breakfast. In the morning we discover the most remarkable monuments of another World Heritage City
Salamanca: New Cathedral, Plaza Mayor (the Main Square), one of the most stunning arcaded squares in
Spain and The University of Salamanca, a centuries-old seat of learning of major importance. We continue
to Cáceres. Its lovely old square is a mixture of different architectonic styles: Roman, Gothic,
Renaissance and Moorish. We can find about 30 towers from the period of Arabian influence. One of the
most important is “Torre del Bujaco”. Dinner and accommodation in Caceres.

Day 7 |
|
CÁCERES – TOLEDO – CUENCA |

|
Breakfast. After our morning arrival in Toledo we make a sightseeing tour of this cultural treasure of Spain
including the Cathedral and the Church of St. Tomé. Thanks to the Christian, Islamic and Hebrew cultures
that coexisted during centuries and affected significantly the development of this city, Toledo is known also
as The City of the Three Cultures. Our next stop will be in Cuenca. Dinner and accommodation. | |

| Breakfast. In the morning we enjoy sightseeing in Cuenca. This medieval town offers to its visitors a
number of precious monuments. The Gothic Cathedral and the hanging houses are some of the most
impressive. We travel to Valencia. Dinner and accommodation in Valencia.

Day 9 |
|
VALENCIA - BARCELONA |
|
| Breakfast. In the morning we discover the prototype of the big Mediterranean city of Valencia. Our
sightseeing tour includes the Silk Exchange building, a master piece of late gothic architecture, built
between 1482 and 1533, originally used for trading in silk and as a centre of commerce. We head for
Barcelona. Dinner and accommodation in your hotel on the coast. | |
